Product Overview

           The EPS-BW Explosion Venting Device consists of a diaphragm, cover plate, flange, gasket, etc.. It is typically installed at the top of an energy storage cabinet. Its insulation wool is placed inside the cabinet, greatly freeing up top space.


Scope of Application

           Installed on top of the energy storage cabinet to vent high pressure generated by an explosion upwards. The insulation surface is located inside the climate protection shield. The static opening pressure is generally set at 10 kPa @ 22 ° C, adjustable according to cabinet requirements, with a minimum possible setting of 2.5 kPa.

Principle

          When a battery pack inside the energy storage cabinet undergoes thermal runaway, producing a large amount of flammable gas, and this gas is ignited causing an explosion, the internal pressure of the cabinet rises sharply. When the pressure reaches the Explosion Venting Device's set pressure, the disc opens rapidly.
