The EPS-CPL Explosion Venting Device consists of a diaphragm, climate protection shield, insulation wool, outlet flange, etc.. It is typically installed at the top of an energy storage cabinet. Its insulation wool is placed outside the cabinet, and insulation performance can be customized according to requirements.
Scope of Application
Installed on top of the energy storage cabinet to vent high pressure generated by an explosion upwards. The insulation surface is located inside the climate protection shield. The static opening pressure is generally set at 10 kPa @ 22 ° C, adjustable according to cabinet requirements, with a minimum possible setting of 2.5 kPa.Different energy storage cabinets have varying insulation requirements and resulting explosion pressures. We provide multiple solutions based on customer needs. This is primarily achieved by changing the material, thickness, etc., of the insulation wool on the diaphragm to achieve different insulation effects. Additionally, the insulation wool is coated with special materials, significantly improving its weather resistance and extending its service life.
Principle
When a battery pack inside the energy storage cabinet undergoes thermal runaway, producing a large amount of flammable gas, and this gas is ignited causing an explosion, the internal pressure of the cabinet rises sharply. When the pressure reaches the Explosion Venting Device's set pressure, the disc opens rapidly.
