4200 Series Conventional Pressure Relief Valve

Product Overview

The Model 4200 pressure relief valve is designed for excess pressure relief in pressure pipelines, storage tanks, boilers, oil-gas separators, and other process vessels. It is suitable for gas, steam, vapor, and liquid applications. The valve complies with the pressure/temperature range, flowarea, and installation dimension requirements specified in the API 526 standard (Chinese national standard GB/T 12243).

  • Conventional Pressure Relief Valve
    Conventional Pressure Relief Valve
    Material and Characteristics: Steel valve body, flat sealing surface structure, upper guide design, high flow capacity, stainless steel internal components. The standard configuration features a robust structure with corrosion-resistant stainless steel internal components, while the valve body, valve cover, and protective cover are constructed from carbon steel. The upper guide design ensures smooth valve operation and stable, repeatable opening/closing characteristics. The flat valve disc sealing surface facilitates subsequent maintenance and reprocessing of the sealing surface. The unique valve seat design minimizes pressure accumulation in the valve chamber, ensuring predictable valve performance. The bottom-insertion-type valve seat provides a corrosion-resistant flow path and sealing surface, significantly extending the valve's service life.

    Bellows-Balanced Pressure Relief Valve
    The design of this valve is essentially identical to that of a conventional pressure relief valve, with the addition only of a bellows assembly. Important precautions: The valve cover must remain in communication with the atmosphere to ensure proper functioning of the bellows' balancing mechanism. Adding a bellows to conventional pressure relief valves can address the following operating conditions: When the medium from the valve outlet side enters the valve, it causes excessive backpressure or frequent backpressure fluctuations: If the backpressure fluctuation reaches 10% of the set pressure, a bellows is recommended; if the cumulative backpressure exceeds 10% of the set pressure, a bellows must be used. In operating conditions where the medium is slurry, high-viscosity fluid, or contains solid particles that may enter the critical clearance between the guide component and the valve disc seat, a bellows must be installed to protect this clearance area and prevent valve sticking. The operating conditions of the treated medium are corrosive to the upper transmission mechanism of the valve. A bellows isolation valve cover chamber must be installed to prevent the corrosive medium from contacting the internal components. With the dedicated modification kit, conventional safety valves can be easily converted into bellows-balanced safety valves, and vice versa, meeting the adjustment requirements of specific process conditions. All bellows-equipped safety valves fully compensate for the impact of backpressure on valve opening/closing characteristics, ensuring precise set pressure.
  • With A Radiator Pressure Relief Valve
    With A Radiator Pressure Relief Valve
    The design of this valve is essentially identical to that of a conventional pressure relief valve, with the addition only of a radiator assembly. Adding a radiator to conventional pressure relief valves enables them to handle the following operating conditions: when the medium operating temperature exceeds 300°C, and when process requirements mandate a sealed structure for the valve under high-temperature conditions. The radiator enhances the valve's heat exchange capacity by increasing its heat dissipation area, thereby improving its resistance to high-temperature conditions and ensuring stable performance of the safety valve under high-temperature operating conditions.
