Product Overview

The Model 4800 pressure relief valve is a non-sealing type designed for releasing excess pressure in high-temperature pressure pipelines, storage tanks, boilers, oil-gas separators, and other process vessels. It is suitable for gas, steam, vapor, and liquid applications. The valve complies with the pressure/temperature range, flow passage area, and dimensional requirements specified in the API 526 standard (Chinese national standard GB/T 12243).

Common Configurations

  • Conventional Type
    Conventional Type
    The 4800 series follows the standard configuration. Since this valve cover is of an open design, it cannot be used for toxic or hazardous media that require containment against atmospheric release. It is primarily intended for steam applications, featuring a non-sealed structure where the spring directly contacts the atmosphere, enhancing its heat dissipation capacity to prevent spring softening due to excessive heat and subsequent pressure instability.
  • High-Temperature Type
    High-Temperature Type
    This model is specially designed for high-temperature superheated steam. The 4800 model incorporates an additional radiator and features an internal dual-regulating-ring structure. The dual-ring design enables more precise adjustment of discharge and return seat pressures, while the radiator enhances valve heat dissipation efficiency.
