Product Overview
The 7200 Emergency Relief Valve is designed to handle overpressurization and over-vacuum that cannot be handled by standard tank vents. The discharge capacity is in accordance with API2000 standards and is sufficient to cope with emergency venting needs caused by fire, and to provide a high volume of airflow in case of emergency evacuation of media. These relief valves can be used as an access point for tank inspection and maintenance.

When the tank pressure rises to a set pressure, the hinged lid opens to relieve the excess pressure and resets when the excess pressure dissipates. A hinge mechanism ensures that the hinged lid is accurately reset. When excessive vacuum builds up in the tank, the spring-loaded spool lifts, breaking the seal between the seat and spool and releasing the accumulated vacuum, after which the vacuum valve is sealed again.
