Recently, the inaugural meeting and technical exchange meeting of VOCs and the Odor Control Professional Committee of Jiangsu Environmental Science Society was grandly held on the Gulou Campus of Nanjing University.

The Jiangsu Environmental Science Society officially hired Shu Yuan, general manager of Jiangsu Bafang Safety Device Co., Ltd., as a member of the VOCs and Odor Control Professional Committee for the same period as the 9th Council of the Society.

This meeting brought together more than 70 leaders of the ecological environment department, industry experts and enterprise representatives to discuss the new technologies and directions of VOCs and odor control.

Ying Jianbo, deputy director of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangsu Province, stressed that the special committee should focus on the needs of air quality improvement and strengthen scientific and technological support. Yu Hongxia, chairman of the society, proposed to build a benchmark special committee to serve management decision-making, industrial upgrading and talent training.

At the meeting, the special committee was officially established and a letter of appointment was issued. Lu Chaoyang, the director, said that he would work around the "three services" positioning. Liu Wenqing, a researcher at the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, made a special report to share the cutting-edge progress of VOCs perception technology.

In the future, the special committee will make efforts in terms of academic exchanges, technology promotion and standard formulation to provide professional support for Jiangsu's "Blue Sky Defense" and promote the continuous improvement of regional environmental quality.
